"Somewhere New" depicts a rare blue frog, in the marshland. This painting represents setting out on a jouney to somewhere new, and the process of taking it all in - the sights, smells etc. I wanted the frog to appear as if it has just landed, and will be leaping off again any minute. The painting has captured this split second where he has placed his feet on the earth, taken it all in, before hopping off again into the distance.
This is a large painting, and will definitley be a statement piece in the home, adding a focal point and texture to the interior.
